In British Columbia, a Class A Gas Fitter is authorized to perform work on higher-capacity gas systems and appliances
Gas A fitter can additionally handle:
- All Residential and Commercial Works
- Gas appliances over 120 kW / 400,000 BTU/h
- High-input boilers
- Large / Industrial process burners
- Larger make-up air units (MUA)
- Any higher-capacity furnace or gas-fired equipment beyond Gas B limits
